When the new podcasts are released, will this blog continue to support post 5K members, or will there be a separate blog? I can see arguments for both options
New blog or not?: When the new podcasts are... - Couch to 5K
New blog or not?
I think a separate blog would be good... but that said it's nice how all the grads of C25k support the newbies... it'd be a shame if they stopped looking.,,
I totally agree - but I can also see the possibility that beginners might see the 5K target being diminished in somme way. Decisions decisions decisions!
everyone at all stages and afterwards has so much to offer the community would loose something if all grads were elsewhere
I had a chat with Greg ( volunteer ) about having a little graduate marker or twibbon or something to ID the graduates so that no one new to C25K got scared or put off by not knowing the history of bloggers - it's being looked into
I'm a couple of runs away from graduating and gain so much from everyone's experiences and hearing what folks are up to waiting for the new podcasts in May.
There's also a mix of regular 5k ers about and those aspiring to or already going further, veterans of running who got started with C25k, I don't think I see 5k being diminished JIP63 after all it's a race distance! Grads give me drive for future running plans, its a bit scary facing no plan or set podcasts but for those which i make for myself after this Sunday, and I've needed their voice as much as those folks in and around the same weeks as me
I think it's nice to have people on here who have graduated. They tend to have invaluable advice about the everyday things that you dont always find on webpages. They also know what it's like to start out from couch and that makes a huge difference to their outlook. Lots of running pages seem to be all about people who have always been fit and never had the niggles that some of us have. I'm booked for a 10k race for life in July and i want to read what you graduates of c25k are up to so i know where to head for in future!
Please stay!
