Finally completed this after having to miss a week of running due to a slight foot injury. I’ve not managed 5k but can do the 30 minutes of running. Now to try a 5k and see how I do 😜. Do I get a badge even though I’ve not reached 5k yet?

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K I loveScotland, that's where I live, you don't have to run 5K in 30 minutes to get your graduation badge, as long as you have ran for 30 minutes on run 3 of week 9 irrespective of the time you are entitled to get a badge which is the word GRADUATE next to your username. Leave a message on the March graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K, now go and celebrate your wonderful achievement with 🍷 and πŸŽ‚

Congratulations and very well done you...As AlMorr has said, there is no requirement at all to reach 5K.

Now, is the time to move forward gently.

Let the new running legs, ( because they are still very new). do, what they know they can. A couple of weeks of consolidation and trying out different things. Some 30 minute runs, some shorter runs and some different routes... Shake things up a bit and get those legs used to different distances and surfaces.

As you run more and more. everything evolves, Time too, to up some of the core strength and stamina work you have been doing on some of your rest days, and there are plenty of great ideas on the Strength and flex Forum.

As you run more, your running body, as well as your legs needs some support too!

Congratulations graduate!!! I wouldn’t rush to do a 5k run just yet. Depending on your pace it might be adding a bit too much on to the 30 mins. (Or not???) Enjoy where you are for a bit and maybe try the Stepping Stones runs? One of them takes you to 35 mins.

Not what you're looking for?
