Hi Jim,
I see you're 40 yrs old. A few questions:
(1) would you say you're jogging or running? Are you at all out of breath after 90 second segments?
(2) Are you active apart from C25K? Regular walking? Football? etc ?
(3) General health ok? I'm a bit surprised that six 90 second jogs should leave you with plummeting energy levels.
I always have my breakfast after running- a good muesli with yogurt, fruit especially banana and a milk alternative such as Oatly. And plenty of liquid- water, herbal tea, juice etc
If I push myself too hard I feel knackered after a run. The slower I go the more energised I feel. Sunshine helps too (in moderation)
This has been a real problem for me in the past. I dealt with it by drinking water 30 mins before the run, then loads through the day afterwards. During my run I kept my stride quite short and kept a slow pace. I increased pace (slightly!) as I became more used to running. I also ate well after my run and snacked in between meals. I was told that this fatigue is a reaction to being a new runner - it faded for me eventually.
