Graduated. Again! And tips for running abroad.

Did my final run of the programme this morning, graduating for the second time! I did the programme last year, but annoyingly didn’t stick with it. But I have the running bug again now. Managed my fastest run too - 3.94k in the 30 mins. Felt like I could have carried on and run 5k, but had to get my son to school! I’m off to Mallorca tomorrow for 2 weeks, but really want to continue running 3 times a week while I’m away. I’m going to aim to get up at 6am and run before it gets too hot - anyone else have any other tips for running in a hotter climate?

Congratulations on re graduating. Lucky you going to Mallorca. Go slow and take water would be my tips. Also if it is hot celebrate what you can do rather than worrying about whether you can keep going for 30 minutes. A 10 minute run can feel like a long time in heat and it's still a good run.

Thanks Sue, that’s a really good point about not forcing myself to try to do 30 mins (which is exactly what I probably would do!) I will also be swimming a lot too, so hopefully won’t lose too much fitness if I can’t manage the 30 min runs.
