I'm wondering if I could alternate between running and brisk walking on a daily basis, i.e. is it healthy to run on Sunday and brisk walk on Monday?

Walking on non run days is fine because it’s low impact. We’re all different though and depending on exactly where you are starting from in terms of your fitness, you might want to think about how far you’re going, taking it steady and making sure you’re giving yourself time to recover from the runs. Recovery is really important. In principle, a daily walk is a good thing to do and I’ve found it helpful in easing out any sore legs. It’s definitely worth thinking about adding strength and flex on non run days to help you minimise your chances of getting injured. That’s also discussed in the programme guide with some links to good things to try.
Good luck with your journey and keep us updated!
Yes, but be a little careful about how much you do.
Absolutely! Just don't overdo it. A full day hike would be too much. You want to allow the muscles to recover and rebuild after the run, not put them under more strain.
I often do a 30 minute brisk walk on rest days but as has been said above we are all different. Listen to your body. If you’re a bit sore or achy the day after your run no shame in taking a full day of rest from exercise so you’re ready to attack the next stage.
