Super proud of my dynamic stretches!!

So today I did my Week 8 Run 3. I’d never done dynamic stretches beforehand - only static ones. It was a lot warmer outside today than I’ve ran in previously and I was really struggling. I persevered and when I checked my Strava - I’d smashed all my previous run distances and times!! I can only presume that dynamic stretches were the reason!! If I can do this when it’s warm and my breathing was raspy - I’m not pumped to see what happens next! Have a good day everyone and thanks for the advice on dynamic stretching!! 💪🙌

Well done.

I think the reason that you beat your PBs, is because you were pushing harder, which is why you were really struggling.

At this stage, to maximise your development, it is most effective to run at an easy conversational pace.

Faster is not better.

Say this sentence out loud to yourself "Am I going slow enough to enable me to speak this sentence in one out breath?" If you cannot, you are going too fast.

The strange thing is that I thought I was running a lot slower than I normally do, because I haven’t run for a week so I thought the run would be tough and I would “take it slow”…. So that was why I was so shocked that I beat my PBs and why I presumed it was the dynamic stretches that did it! 😆
