Hey everyone! First time poster here, new to this forum and to running. I am 46 and my husband is 68, so far he is finding it much easier than me as he is fitter. Week 3 and due to do our 3rd today but I’ve woken up with knee pain and unsure in I should do the run today. The pain started after my previous run on Friday, went away but has resurfaced this morning. It’s very frustrating! Anyway hope everyone has a lovely day

Knee pain wk3
Hello and welcome to the forum and the program !Have you read the program guide ?
healthunlocked.com/couchto5....
It's full of crucial information to help you through the program with advice on hydration, stretching and othe aspects of the program including strengthening excercises.
It is not uncommon when you are new to running to encounter a few aches as your body gets used to the impact of running .
But do not run if you are in pain .
Take an extra day or 2 rest and if the pain has gone then continue, if not then seek the advice of a professional (ideally a sports physio)
You will find a link within the guide that will take you to NHS knee strengthening excercises which I'm sure will help once you are pain free .
Hope that helps
Oh no!
Knees are so important!
In our sister forum Strength & Flex we do have quite a few follow-along workouts focussing on strengthening knees, so during recovery you might be able to give your knees a little bit of workout-love . See

Sending you get-well-fast wishes.
