Sorry if this is embarrassing Q but struggling a bit. Boobs hurting after running. Not straight away but later in the day/night. Any ideas on how I can help ease this?

Sounds like you need to find a more supportive bra!

What bra are you wearing? I started with a cheap sports bra but once I got to about week 4, it wasn't good enough any more. Now I've got a shock absorber ultra run. Nothing moves! It has to fit quite tightly, so maybe go and get fitted to get the correct size. (They run small, so if you're normally a 34 you'll need a 36).I hear good things of decathlon bras too but not tried them.

I’ve been using a cheap one but think I will invest now I’m keeping at it. Thank you wasn’t sure if it had been a problem for others and none of the ladies in my family run so couldn’t ask them 😀

Honestly, it's as important as running shoes. The two bits of kit I don't try and skimp on. Although getting in and out can be a challenge, there's a knack! Some people like the m&s front zip ones, but they don't fit me well. You may have to try on a few to get one you like.

Yes a good bra is the answer . Bravissimo is a great shop for sports bras for the lady with a larger cup.

There’s a post today on the Bridge to 10K site about sports bras! Search for roseabi - it is timed almost the same as your post. (I think you can read the thread even without joining the Bridge group, but I will also ask her if she wants to post it on C25K. I think it’s relevant to all female runners!)

Yes agree sports bra which has revolutionised my life I’m not that big but have never had a comfortable bra even after having an M&S fitting but my newly purchased sports bra I could happily wear it all the time

Shock absorber all the way really comfy too and no jiggle at all 😀 actually prefer it to my normal bras now

I'm a E/F cup, so what is politely called "busty". I have George at Asda zip front sports bras (easier access for me with arthritic shoulders!) and they are fab. Lots of support, nothing moves about, the cup padding (which is essential for me) comes out for washing, and they wash up lovely.

I did try the Shock Absorber but I must be an inbetween size or something as I just couldn't get a good fit, and they are back fasteners too, which I struggle to do up as well. Whatever you decide to go with, I would definitely recommend trying them on first.

Like Poppdog and Chillipeppers1 I could actually wear them all the time now - the girls have never been under such great control 😅

I agree with all the other ladies, the two things not to scrimp on are bras and shoes.

You can buy these:amazon.co.uk/dp/B0925HS5CQ/...

They look like sweaty instruments of torture to me, but some women swear by them. I have my fair share of luggage, but I find a well fitted, good quality sports bra works fine is enough (freya active).
