Why is the first 10 minutes of my run so HARD?

I guess this is the reason I'm enjoying running more as the distances get longer, a smaller proportion of the run is being spent in the toxic 10. He's wrong about one thing though, I don't run because it's hard. I run because I enjoy it and it's good for me!

It’s hard to put a number on it. Though it explains why I prefer running before lunch rather than before breakfast - my body’s more awake and I’ve had me weetabix! 😁

Thank you for sharing, I really find it much easier to run after twenty minutes, good info

I don't exactly suffer the toxic ten any more, I start off so slowly it's barely above walking pace, but I do notice it all gets even easier after about 4-5 KM
