Any recommendations for light weight running shoes? I have some Asics but I find them a bit heavy so have resorted to running in some old Sketchers. They feel comfortable but I am not sure if they re really suitable and good for my feet. Any suggestions?

Old shoes can do more harm than good for running as the have lost much of the cushioning protection. It's best to go to your local running shop and get your gait checked if you haven't had one done recently, the person in the shop should be knowledgeable enough to recommend shoes based on your gait and running terrain and distance.

I agree with drun. I found having my gait checked very helpful and my runners fit a treat ... It can be taunting going on the running machine in-front of the sales adviser but they have seen it all and are so helpful . Just point out to the adviser that you want a light shoe. Good luck.

Absolutely as above, your local running store is the place to ask this question during a fitting. They will do doubt have something lighter that suits your running style and intended running distances.
