I've had one of "those " runs. One where I knew as soon as I stepped out of the door it was going to be a tough one.
After the warm up, I started running but 30 seconds or so in, I had to stop. I couldn't find a rhythm, my legs just did not want to move! I could quite easily have just walked back home at that point but decided to just walk it off for a few minutes and then restart the clock.
I'm so glad I did. I won't deny the 30 minutes was hard work (putting it politely) and I wanted to stop so many times but pure grit and determination got me through today.
Running really is as much a mental challenge as it is physical.
Two more to go. Determined to graduate this week.
Happy running x

Well done for keeping going, what do you think caused your problems? Tired, dehydrated ?? Sometimes It’s the first couple of minutes that you feel I can’t do this but just keep going and you surprise yourself. You will get there you have the mindset you have proved it!
Good morning!! I know exactly why I didn't feel it this morning -was laid up in the aftermath of a migraine yesterday. Slept most of the afternoon so didn't drink or eat properly and then of course didn't sleep last night. So yes tired and dehydrated. But as you say I pushed through it. Determined to get to Friday and graduate 😀.
Migraines are awful so well done you for going out during the aftermath of one. 🤞🏻I haven’t had one for a while, probably because I haven’t been in the office for a while, also I used to get them monthly due to my hormones there is something to be said for the menopause if I won’t get them anymore, although it gives you other challenges migraines are awful. Hope you feel better and you graduate in style this week 🎉🏃♀️
Super well done you! I can’t remember the exact run, but it was towards the end of the program, when I felt exactly the same - it was sheer torture! It really was sheer determination that got me through. So I applaud you! Just 2 more runs then yay graduation day - how exciting 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️.
Thank you lovely. Am sat down now after mowing all our lawns 😀. Hubby is doing a bbq this afternoon while my plan for the day is tennis and football. As you say the end is in sight. Can't wait x
Sometimes things in life get in the way that stop us from doing things we want to do. Rest, hydrate and restart the programme where you feel comfortable and you can go back and repeat a few runs if you want.
You'll use no significant condition from not running for two weeks and after that loss is gradual.
Well done for carrying on 👏 you are so right about it being as much a mental challenge as physical! I had a blip in w8 that really knocked me and I just went home without finishing 😶. 2 days later I went back out and everything was fine and I had no real reason as to why!
