So sad to say I’m going backwards

“I’ll be back” as Arnie would say.

After suffering for years with prolapsed discs & sciatica. My journey started way back in last year with slowly walking & building up strength. by the end of the year, I managed to get to a v. Slow jog & started week 1.

My highlights, amazingly, firstly graduating & then although very slow I finally reached 5k.

But, just Two weeks ago, I was Les than 2 minutes in when the back pain became so unbearable, a v. slow walk home with lots of gentle stretching, as my moto is to keep trying to move.

I’ve tried to get out a couple of times since but again the pain gets too much so I’m back to walking.

We all have our challenges & goals, I’ve been here before, but this time my mindset tells me I’ve succeeded once, so I’m going back to v. Slow & steady & hopefully sooner rather than later, I’ll be back lol

Good luck in the meantime to everyone else on their journey & as we all face set backs, take them as part of a long journey which with enough perseverance you can conquer.

Cheers

John

Oh no, sorry to hear this ! But absolutely right to stop the running .

Whilst you are back to walking would it not be worth a visit to the Doc or a sports physio before resuming the running ?

Might be good to get the professional advice !

Good luck 🤞
