Loving my treadmill

I bought a treadmill asI found it hard to get out in the Autumn/winter months and wanted to keep the consistency of running regularly going.

So glad I did, I only have to go to my garage, no worrying about what route to take, traffic, other people etc.

I am using the programmes now and got to programme 3 out of 36. 30 minute workout consisting of 3 minutes intervals of jogging, running at pace and the dreaded inclines. I can override the setting to reduce or increase which I am only doing on the slower recovery intervals (although I am allowing myself some recovery). Programme 3 is proving challenging so will continue on this one until it gets easier.

When I do go out on the road I am finding my pace is improving which is great.

I have not been able to understand how to convert my pace per km from the treadmill to the road. It’s around 9km on the machine and 7.5km on the road.

Either way though I’m enjoying and benefiting from both. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️❤️

Have a lovely weekend all ❤️

Well done on your purchase, something I'm a bit envious about cos I really enjoy a treadmill. Many don't but that's cos most don't understand how to the get most out of them.

The relationship between your outdoor and indoor pace is a bit complex to be honest. There are sound reasons why running on a treadmill is easier (ie faster pace) than outdoors, but there are also sound reasons why it's also more difficult.

Either way, the treadmill is a great alternative for when the weather is rubbish. Enjoy!
