After having my little boy 16 months ago I am back into running every other evening. I have completed week5run1 which I felt very proud with. Very apprehensive about run 3!

Welcome back awesome Mama ! Slow and steady will get you there, and a small person, will be keeping your strength and stamina up!!Run 3, you are going to be just fine. I am on Week 6 Run 3 tomorrow ( repeating Couch after illness), and if I made it through, so will you.

Seriously, there are so many myths about Week5 Run 3, and it is just another run that you are ready for ! All you need to do, is believe it:)

I was exactly the same. Wk 5 was a big mental hurdle for me. For run 3, I just got up and went straight out, didn’t give myself time to overthink it and just told myself that I was in charge and if I needed to walk I could. I did it without stopping (had to slow down a couple of times but no walking) and felt elated and so proud of myself afterwards. Just give it a go, what’s the worst that could happen...? Good luck and let us know how you get on

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 5, don't worry at all about running run 3 of week 5, take it slowly, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself and know that you will complete the course in around 4 weeks time.

Well done. You are doing fantastic.

Don’t be apprehensive about Wk5R3. I managed wk5r3 this morning and found all the motivation and inspiration on here really helped. I got in the right frame of mind the evening before and went into it positive.Five weeks ago I would have been daunted but there is no need. The plan has prepared you for this. Give it a go and you will be impressed with yourself! This one for me (as I think for others) was a case of beat the mental doubts and you will beat this! Keep going!

I have found counting doors and listening to music helps me. I have shocked myself so far with how fit I am. I work part time as well as having a toddler so that seems to have prepared me! I have done the couchto5k before and know week 5 which is where it steps up physically and mentally. My goal is to get to 10K for a race I have in June!
