W8R1 done !! I coped better that I thought I would , the changes are quite small for these last three weeks so it does seem like I’m nearly there now and I must say I’m loving . One issue I’d like some tips on , for my last three runs I’ve been getting what feels like cramping in my left calf. , I’ve tried drinking more water beforehand and I stretch before and after , I’m able to run through it but it slows me a bit and I don’t want to cause permanent injury , I welcome your advice 🤗

Almost there !!!
Well done! Are you pushing hard? It could be that you just need to ease back. Maybe try a roller on the calf to help?
You say you stretch before ?Dynamic or static stretches ?
You don't want to do static stretches before you run !
That could be the problem I have been doing static only 😕
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
Are you drinking 2.5-3 litres of fluids each and every day, running or not?
Are you doing the correct stretches pre and post run.....they are not the same thing.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey
I have exactly the same and we are at the same stage. I’ve had it on quite a few runs. I’m doing all the stretches And some on my rest days. But the thing that’s helped most is a massage stick. From Amazon. About 12 quid. It’s been a godsend. I have an office job and I don’t think it’s helped my tight calves !
