You don't say why you are stopping.........pain, breathlessness, muscle tiredness, boredom?

Tell us more.

Definitely breathlessness and I think the half way bell is almost a distraction and my brain says “you’re nearly finished” before I am

Your breathing is your best friend - it's the best measure of how much effort you're putting in.

And breathlessness at any stage is a sure-fire sign that you're going too fast.

Ideally, you should be going at pace where your breathing is easy, relaxed and comfortable. Everyone has that pace, it's just a matter of slowing down enough to find it.

You should be able to finish the final running bit feeling like you could carry on if you had to.

So, next time, start off real slow - really really slow and take it from there, paying attention to your effort level (by your breathing) at all times. Nice and relaxed!

please do. You're at a crucial stage of C25K. Get this right and the rest will be plain sailing.

If you are breathless you are going too fast.

Have you read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which advises you to be able to speak aloud, clear ungasping sentences as you run......if you cannot, you are going too fast for your current fitness level.

You have done great to get to W5, but the duration starts to ramp up now, so it is a good time to develop your pacing skills.
