So I have just graduated, I cannot believe it, I am 52 years old, unfit, overweight and never ever ran before. I honestly did not think I could do it but I have - anyone starting out keep going - if I can do it anyone can ๐Ÿ˜„

You can run 30 minutes now. That's just the start. You're certainly less unfit than 9 weeks ago!

Congratulations. I run 5k twice a week. Gratuated in November. It`s working fine for me at this moment but maybe I`m going to include a third run on weekends in the near future.

Well done, so encouraging Iโ€™m 50 in a few months and also never run. On week 3 and seriously thinking Iโ€™m not going to complete this !

You will! I have literally just returned from my final run. I have graduated! I will be 59 in 2 weeks time, not a runner at all but managed. So will you ๐Ÿ†

Stick to it , honestly it works and actually gets easier the longer you run - not that I would have believed it if anyone had told me that in week 3

Thatโ€™s so good to hear. Iโ€™m not really getting out of breath but my legs feel heavy, do you think proper running shoes would help as just running in trainers that are flat without much cushioning?

hi my legs often feel heavy too sometimes, think it normal. I invested in a pair of Brooks running shoes in week 5 and they really made a difference - tried my old pair on yesterday and cant believe how hard and unsupportive they feel in comparison to a good pair of running shoes - worth investing in some. Brook can also tell you the type of shoe you need by doing an online assessment

Great, Iโ€™ll have a look at them online x
