Going great guns Peter44 that's a whole heap of consolidation runs under your belt, perhaps maybe take a look at bridge to 10k and moving up gradually towards that new badge ππͺ
Great stuff! I love it, comfortable 34 minute run! No running for me, snow and ice and Iβm not that brave. Hopefully back out at the weekend π€π»
I know, it's mad, i always remember those first few weeks!!! π₯΅ we've had rain all day, but stopped by the time i got home from work, sleet forcast overnight! π₯Ά
Well done for heading out and getting a good run in- it feels more enjoyable when you take it steady and donβt hammer it. I was home late from work so going to have to go for my run tomorrow instead - have a good birthday meal tomorrow! π π·
It's mad how far we've all come, i even mentioned 60 mins/10k to IMC50, what am i saying!!! π€£, probably getting a bit ahead of myself, tue nights run, told me, slow down!!! π₯΅Ummmm, overtaking you in age π€£
Thanks, saw your post too, sounds a good run, it does feel good to be able to do these runs, fairly comfortably, my average tonight was 8.26/km, so we're about the same, i went too fast on tue nights run!!! π₯΅
Happy Birthday Peter, I'm on CR3 and turned 64 in October - inspired by your great progress although I really don't know how i got where I am!- couldn't run for 60 seconds when I started C25K in September. It's pretty unbelievableπ±- keep running, you're doing great.
Thanks, i know what you mean, it's mad to think how far we've all come!!! ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ
Well done Peter, nice comfortable cruising 34 mins run, you sound a lot happier than Tuesπππ. Youve done absolutely amazing with your consolidation runs....should be really proud of yourself. Have a fab birthday ππππΎπ·πΉπΈπ₯ and celebrate, you deserve to. π¦ππ’πββοΈπ
Thanks, yep def a bit too fast on tue, another lesson learnt! π€£Going out for a meal with the kids, i also have a 24 year old son, but doesnt run with me, too busy on his playstation!!! π€£
Oh fab, have a good oneππ. Know the PlayStation one...my ex boss used to come to his weekend residence and spent most of the weekend playing...he was 31. Each to there own ππ€£π. Enjoy tonightπππΎπ·πΉ. π¦ππ’πββοΈπ
Hi Peter . Well done. Iβm glad you have found a more sustainable pace. I will follow your lead on that. Iβve decided to skip 2 runs to really give my muscles a chance to heal after over doing it and will run a gentle 30 min on Saturday then hopefully back to 3 runs next week. I read on here somewhere that you keep your current fitness for one week . So hopefully Saturday will go smoothly .
That sounds a very sensible idea, i felt much better after last nights run, i think my body is saying, hang on, you've not run like this, for probably 30 years!!! π€£
Brilliant work Peter. Youβre right that itβs crazy how far weβve all come - definitely something to celebrate! Hope you have a lovely birthday. π
Belated Happy Birthday - I hope you really enjoyed it. Are you out running in this today?? I know we keep mentioning how far we've come and I do laugh when we say things like .... I only managed 4k or only 15 minutes to go or even thinking of the 10K plan.
I do hope that Newbies read this and realise that it is achievable and that we also had lots of issues in week 1, but look at us now.
Thank you, and your so right with what you say, those early weeks running, dont seem that long ago, and now look at us!!! π€£Yes, just got back from a run, lovely weather here today! π
