Any solutions for avoiding exercise-induced migraines?

Exercise causes migraines for me so I'm now overweight and unhappy. Does anyone have any solutions to combat this? I'd love to be active again and would love to complete C25K.

Hello

I feel your pain, I’ve suffered migraines for years and have only beaten them recently with the help of beta blockers.

Have you read this:

migrainetrust.org/living-wi...

Quite a useful website.

Hope you can manage to beat this! 🤞

Happyjen, which types of exercise trigger your migraines? Is walking OK?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your intention.Firstly, make sure that you follow the advice on hydration, as being poorly hydrated can cause headaches in those who do not suffer migraine.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
