Shin splints

Weirdly, I ran Thursday evening. I had no pain at all either immediately afterwards or Friday. On Saturday I got up, did housework etc and only felt pain when I put my ankle boots on to go out. The pain was like a needle sticking in my lower leg and I was convinced there was something in my sock, but no - according to a regular runner friend, I have shin splints.

No pain when I walk, but if I press on it, it's a very sharp pain.

Looks like I'm out of action and resting for a while πŸ˜•
