I decided today that I needed to slow down as my previous run exhausted ๐ด me. I also put my short trousers ๐ on as I have been so hot ๐ฅต in my long cold ๐ฅถ weather ones.
Well what a difference these little tweaks made to my run ๐โโ๏ธ!! I felt in control, my breathing was good ๐ and I drunk some water ๐ฆ every time I felt a little out of buff.
I managed to run ๐โโ๏ธ 5km in 40 minutes and I am so chuffed as Iโve never run two 5kms in a month!!
I think this is a little bit of experience kicking in! Along with listening to my body.
Most importantly I actually enjoyed it and was buzzing ๐ at the end.

Congratulations๐๐ I get cold easily abs take my time to warm up, but then I have to peel layers 10 min into my run. Iโll try my CR1 with less layers & see if that makes a difference!
I get cold ๐ฅถ too but seem to warm up quickly so have learnt not to put too much on. Itโs odd though to be running ๐ past people with winter coats ๐งฅ on.
Yes that was me a few weeks ago when it got cold & I went out early, had my down jacket on over my running top ๐ has to take it off & tie it round my waist 12 min later, but there was one morning I ran with it on all the way! ๐ well done with the 5Ks, thatโs a great achievement ๐๐
I think you just need to find out what works for you. I will definitely go slow again & also not run when tired ๐ด. Itโs just doesnโt work for me.
