Last week I only ran once for 32 mins felt great afterwards. I have been out today and feel great. I have made every excuse under the sun not to go out and really believe it is the cold.

Will this pass or am I a fair weather runner?

I ran to Speed and Stamina the other day. Sheesh! I’d forgotten how good they were. Highly recommend the C25k+ Stepping Stones program to anyone 👍

Many find the post C25K period difficult, without a specific route to follow, which is why we created the monthly Consolidation Club healthunlocked.com/couchto5... where you can ask for advice and see what others are doing.

Creating yourself some short, medium and long term targets, as suggested in the guide to post C25K running, will help you formulate what sort of training you need to do.

What helped me was to have a good plan. So after considering various plans, I chose the NHS 12-week workout plan for my consolidation period. As it has the C25k embedded in it, but I just simply replaced every run with a consolidation run. But the different physical workouts were fabulous!

Link at NHS website is nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/1...

And my 12-week experience is here healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Good luck!

Thanks that could work because everything just gets in the way of running. If I had a plan and kept to it I would get through this.

Yes, me too. If you look at my timeline you’ll probably see that I never stopped planning.

I was too scared to let my running slip.

(I’m also a relative newbie, having started C25k in April this year)

I also found that joining the Bridge to 10k Forum helped a lot, as it deals with issues that people (that are regularly running) have. C25k was all about getting there.

So I am members of both and was active in both during the whole consolidation period.

Good luck!!
