Was exhausted when I got home couldn’t really understand how I would possibly go out for a run let alone run for 30mins for the first time. My husband said ‘oh leave it till tomorrow’ which was just what I needed to spur me on and put my trainers on! So off I went didn’t listen to anything for the 5 minute warm up, was to busy dodging foxes 🦊! But once I got going I listened to a BBC podcast of Roger Bannister talking about running the 4 minute mile - it was really interesting and inspiring (defo worth a listen!).
Really really enjoyed myself today, think I managed to keep quite good form, a steady pace managed to speed things up a bit in the last 5 mins and then raced the last 60secs.
And most importantly was just what I needed to sort out my head after a difficult days work!
