Legs really heavy first 6-8 minutes

I graduated a couple of weeks ago and have been completing consolidation runs of between 3 and 5k three times a week.

Issue I have is first 6-8 minutes legs feel really heavy and uncomfortable and puts the doubts in my mind about continuing.

I am able to percivere and thankfully it seems to disappear.

I hydrate regularly, do a proper pre run warm up and cool down and don't have any major soreness next day.

Any tips out there or do any of you have same issue.

I think this might be the 'toxic ten'. There is a post with a scientific explanation of this which I can't find! It's pretty common.

You could also maybe think about your hydration levels, or whether you're setting off too fast?

Much appreciated thanks

Sounds like the infamous "Toxic Ten" to me. It plagues most of us at some point. I think this is the link that Roxdog was looking for and it is worth a read. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
