I always have to have a bit of a word with myself in the morning to get out of the door, but one thought keeps coming back to me - even if the rest of the day is a complete washout, you completed a run. That's an achievement.

There's no doubt about it in my mind, a good run first thing in the morning is a great way to set-up the rest of the day.
And, as you point out, if everything else turns out to be less than great for the rest of the day, at least there's a good run under the belt to make up for it.
I totally agree and it sets up your day with a bounce in your step and that you've already accomplished something !
That's exactly how I've started to feel. I have such great energy after like my body is saying thank you for doing that!
Actually starting to look forward to run days 😁

I am not a morning person- have never been! My family normally avoid me till I've had 2 cups of coffee and I've been up a while 🙈 but... even though I've never been able to get up for holidays, struggle to get motivated to get out of bed even for work, I have found I love early morning runs! Im hoping I love them when I start work next week after 6months off and as the mornings get darker😳😳 that will be my massive test!

I always do my runs in the mornings if I can. Sets me up for the day and gets me out of bed. Tends to mean less people about too. Especially good in the recent spell of hot weather we had.
