Hi everyone! I'm about to start week 6 tomorrow and, though i know its early days, I'm loving it and even got myself some proper running shoes to keep going ๐ Interested in knowing what comes next after the c25k... my goal is to make running a habit, but i don't want to be striving or pushing for a 10km anytime soon.
I found info here on the consolidation phase..are there podcasts i can download for this? Would love to know I'll have the structure i need to motivate me to keep going, and build on the fitness strength I'm gaining now.
Where can i find the consolidation phase tips /podcasts?
Thank you!!

Consolidation is in its most literal form, just running 30 minutes at a time like you will be doing in week 9. You could continue to use the week 9 runs, or you could move to another app... I used the guided runs on Nike run club and had lots of in ear coaching. Once the runs are completed comfortably/easily, you can start to vary the runs up a little.
As for what will be next, itโs really up to you... getting from 5-10 is easier than 0-5 and doesnโt involve running 10 three times a week, so isnโt as scary/impractical as it looks.
For now, enjoy closing this out, and have a think about where youโd like to be come the winter.
Thanks so much! In fact that in-ear coaching has proved to be something i nerd for now, as in the last when i tried to run i just couldn't sustain it past 2 months or so. I lost motivation... thanks for your tips.
Im in SA so hope to know where I'd like to header by the summer here (December) ๐
Love your enthusiasm Almare1 you've got the running bug. Great to set some goals after graduation. Take time with consolidation. It's important to build strength and stamina. Don't try to run too far or too fast. When you're comfortable with your 3 times a week runs you can decide if you want to follow a plan to run further or faster or stay as you are. Good luck and enjoy your running
