Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.
Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.
Enjoy your journey.
Thank you for your reply. I am stretching and keeping hydrated but maybe not so much of those strengthening exercises so I will be sure to have a look. I think that I have been feeling the improvement xome run 3 in the past weeks but not with week 7, still having to really push myself both mentally and physically. Which I haven't had do before so think it's that too!

I just completed my first run of week 8. I found the last run of week 7 incredibly hard I had to really dig deep to get it done. Have a good think about what you found hard. I bet it was more in your head like it is with me. I keep telling myself I want to stop it’s hurting too much (it’s not), I hate it (I don’t). If you’ve completed week 7 give the first run of week 8 a go. You might really surprise yourself. Even if you find it a step too far you can just go back to week 7. But remember this. You’ve done incredibly well to run for a continuous 25 mins. I bet 7 weeks ago that felt an impossibility. Keep on keeping on... you can definitely do it.
Thank you for your positivity and encouragement. Your.are right I am the same thinking I cannot complete but I have done! I think it was because i saw an improvement from previous weeks from first run of the week to the last. But each time (week 7) I really had to push myself. Although the sense of achievement was high! I am running this evening... will see how I go. Positive thoughts!
