Any one had any issues with foot injuries during couch to 5k ?

Hi there I have finished the couch to 5 k and enjoyed the achievement of completing the program , but as the runs became longer I have noticed an increasing pain in my right foot in the instep so have had to stop running, Has anyone else experienced this problem , I recently ordered some running shoes online due to lock down but perhaps should have gait measured before commencing again as my foot is still very sore when I put pressure on it ,

Any feedback appreciated

We're not qualified to give medical advice of course but if its hurting when you run then I guess it could be that your shoes are not right for you?

Do you get pain after rest as well? You could try rolling your foot on a tennis ball - really good for stretching out the fascia in the foot. Also, don't neglect stretching and maybe rolling your calves, as tightness here (or in your achilles) can result in problems in the feet such as Plantar Fasciitis. If it continues to hamper your running, I would seek medical advice for a proper diagnosis. Hope it settles soon.🙂
