So 2 weeks after finishing C25K I’ve ran my first 5 K and it’s feels great. Wasn’t sure if it was possible as I’ve missed two runs this week but managed it. Before embarking on this journey I wouldn’t have believed it was possible or so enjoyable!!

That’s amazing well done- you must feel so good 😊an huge accomplishment🏆

Do you mind me asking how far you had covered when you did the wk9 runs and also since finishing the plan how often are you running?? Are you still doing 3 a week? I’d love to know as I’ve just done wk9r1 but I went out really slow slower than normal but I feel like I could go faster and cover I larger distance, I have managed 4.5k in 25 but I seem to have gotten slower then longer I run- not sure if it’s just worry about not keeping being able to go to the end of the time?

Do you think you feel more at ease when not running to a time?? Just would like to see from another’s perspective? Hope you don’t mind me asking???

Again well done super achievement 👌🏻

At the end of the week 9 runs I was up to 3.6K in 30 mins, so not a fast pace by any means but one that’s comfortable for me. At the moment I’m keeping about the same pace so my 5K was in approx. 40 mins. Next decision I have to make is do I go for a faster pace or look to extend the distance, not sure yet.

I’m trying to keep to 3 runs a week but this week it just wasn’t possible. Hope to resume this week. I’m happy just running (not a phrase I thought I’d be using) and less concerned now with the time but was definitely clock watching when still using the app.

Just go with what feels right for your body, ignore the distance and I'm sure you’ll get to the end.

You have done so well. Yeah I suppose you have to decide if you want to go further or faster?? But what a great decision to have to make.

Thanks for all the info - I’ve just managed 4.2k in 30mins so not too far away from the 5k just happy to have managed to get to here 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Keep running
