Just Another Manic Run Day

I had planned on a 25min consolidation run and then procrastinated, as you do. Cue crazy rush to contort myself into my Shock Absorber (always fun), set up all my apps and get out the door so I could be back in time for OH to meet friends for a bike ride. Run reduced to 20min NikeRun - yay! Back to Week 5 Run 3! I managed to add 500m to the distance covered 5 weeks ago, so that’s a positive, but I had to cut the cool down walk to 3 mins to get back in time. Is this a huge problem? I stretched when I got home. Is the full 5 minute cool down walk absolutely necessary?

Love your post title, I actually heard it on the radio just 😂

You should be very careful taking shortcuts in the recovery process, you don’t want to pick up any injuries 😊

😂 that’s how most run days start to be fair. I nearly went out in odd shoes earlier this week 🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s what I figured about the cool down. Just have to start getting out of bed when my alarm goes off!
