Not sure why but during yesterday’s run it felt like I was running through treacle. I’ve been going out as soon as I get up and last week 7,I did all three 25 mins with no stopping. Yesterday I had to stop at least three times because it felt so hard. So tomorrow I shall do Wk8R1 again, hopefully with more success. It is good to have this forum. Everyone is so positive. As Jo Wiley said last week, at the beginning of this I would have laughed if someone told me I’d be running 25 minutes non-stop 🤩Positive thinking 🤩

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

First of all, well done for trying to push through it. We all have some days where, for one reason or another, that it is just a LOT harder than others. Sometimes we know why, sometimes we don't. Take a breath, enjoy your rest day, or two, take care of yourself, view it as a practice run, then try again. Make sure you have some good upbeat music or a podcast to listen to, perhaps try a different route, just put this past run behind you.

Great that you didn’t just give in when you needed a walk break... many would have been on the way home then, but you were tough... you got a great interval session in... and tomorrow it’ll probably come a lot easier. If you can identify any reasons for it being tough, then you can fix it... if not, yesterday’s run will make tomorrow’s a little easier.
