I'm a young 64 year old who is using lockdown to attempt Couch to 5k to keep spirits highish and avoid too much lockdown lethargy!

I'm not terribly good at exercise - such as watching all the online videos -and C25K is a great way of admiring all the front gardens where I live!

Thanks to everyone I've read so far- people are very generous in sharing - and I've just posted my first comment to another newbie.

I am 62. I used to be very fit until an injury put paid to exercise for a long time. I never regained my fitness even after the injury was all cured. It seemed like too much effort. Time to change all of that I think! Good luck in your endeavours 🙂

And good luck with your new found attitude!

I seem to have a dodgy right knee but it's causing me more irritation during normal mobility, than when running.

Enjoy your new endeavour...sun shine here today!

Well done! I did c25k again recently with my wife, we're 65, it's well worth it..

Just slow jogging is all that's needed for benefits..

Yes I’m a young 64 year old aiming to improve my levels of fitness. I’ve never ever been a runner but now this programme and all the positive posts I’m reading is helping me achieve what I always thought was out of reach to me. I’ve just started week 7 - oh my goodness yesterday I managed another 25 minutes non stop, slowish jog 🏃🏼‍♀️🥳 it’s just an amazing feeling of achievement 🤩

Well done you! Ahead of me by 3 weeks and I suspect that some of my 'weeks' will stretch into fortnights, but.. why not? We are doing this for ourselves and for no other reason.

I hope I can get to week 7 like you🤔🤸

Yes my weeks stretch out as well - but it’s our journey so it’s no problem 😉. You’ll get there I’m sure - how great an achievement will that be for both of us 🥳🤩🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Hi. I’m also eligible for this group, like you almost 66 and never ran before apart from sprints at school! I have just finished My 9th run, week 3👏👏. I’m elated and can’t stop smiling 😃😃

Netball at school was my limit, and even then I was always in goal, not a lot of running there😀 good on us for doing this and getting this far! See you in Consolidation👋

Yep, I'm 67 and yesterday completed W4r2. I am amazed at myself having never been a runner, even at school I was a hopeless case, so feeling like superwoman all of a sudden! So lets go us 60+ers! I pootle along happily wondering if passing motorists are saying 'go on ol' gel!' :)

Welcome and enjoy the programme, we are 64 as well and a year ago couldn’t run, it’s nice to run slow enough to enjoy the flowers
