Taken a week off... back to square one?

Hi all,

I've been following a slightly different programme but I'd got as far as roughly week 5 or 6 (I'd got as far as running 15 minutes, walk 5, run 10 minutes).. then for various reasons I took a week off last week.

I'd attempted to continue where I left off this morning (which should have been run 15, walk 5, run 15).. but after 10min run I could go no more.. I walked 5mins.. but then I knew I didn't have it in me to run anymore.

Also all the weight I'd lost has gone back on in this one week, depsite continuing to eat healthily as usual. I feel like I've taken 3 steps forward and 5 steps back.

Should I just start the programme again from week one day one? I guess that's my only option..

Maybe just go back a week and start from there, see how you do, well done for even trying/wanting to get back to it

Absolutely NO need to go back to Week 1. One week off sees you lose a little fitness but nowhere near as much as you think. What you´ve gained from 5 weeks doesn´t disappear that quickly.

I suggest going back to Week 4 and moving forward from there. Just remember to take it nice and easy.
