I've just (yesterday) managed W5R3 despite not seeing how I could (thanks for previous encouragement). I wasn't tired exactly, and had the mental determination, so i was trying to work out why it was proving a bit hard. I decided it was because my hamstrings felt very heavy. Not when walking, and not afterwards, just at the time. Any suggestions?

Well done it is a milestone run.
Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.
Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow.
Look out for W6R1..............it catches many out.
