I am about to do Week 7 Run 3 and I noticed my FitBit watch gives me a VO2 Max score (cardio fitness level). It says mine is currently poor and it relates to how my body uses oxygen when exhausted. I've definitely noticed it's still hard to breathe at this point in my C25K journey and I'm guessing this is the culprit.
Any tips or training exercises I can be pointed to to increase my score and make it easier to breathe on my runs? I'm making sure I'm going at a steady pace and breathing deeply and not too fast.

If you keep on following the plan and carry on it will rise with time. I got a garmin in September last year and at that point I had been running 5 months and my score then eve after 5 months of running was poor... gradually its risen. I've now been running just over a year and it now 38 which is in the good range. Once you've graduated and done some consolidation maybe consider adding in the c25k+ podcasts. There are 3 which aim to help with stamina and speed.
