I’m about to start Week 4 and have been running in Nike Roshe shoes. I’m aware that these are not running shoes but wanted to ensure I was sticking to the programme before splashing out.
I have relatively wide feet and I’m probably considered overweight for a 25 year old. Does anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Shoes are so personal feet are all different, if you aren’t having any problems with the ones you are wearing I would keep with them and wait til you can go and try some on I bought online recently and wished i hadn’t, Willow just bought same make as he knows they fit
I started the first week in tatty old trainers. My friend said she had started to run in wellingtons until her son dragged her into a shop!By week 4 I needed better shoes. Because of the circumstances, I was too late to visit a shop so I risked buying on line. I chose a shop that would accept returns for free. There were some suggestions about gait analysis etc. and then a recommendation for me (not the most expensive). I have now been running in those shoes (week 8 next Monday) and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are lovely. The on-line shop was Brooks. I did not need to use the free returns system. I hope this helps.
