Morning run - breakfast before or after?

Hey, I'm currently on WK3 Run 2. I get up, have a banana and some tea and then go off for my run. I feel ok, just a little light headed sometimes when I'm finished and cooling down. Should I eat more before I go out? I'm limited on time and can only run early! X

I’m no expert at all, but I wouldn’t be able to eat or drink just before running as I would get stitch. Would some glucose tablets help with the lightheadedness maybe?

A banana should be plenty. Personally I prefer not to have anything before I run. I don't understand why you would feel lightheaded...Are you well hydrated?

I currently don't eat before an early morning run (I used to eat half a banana) and don't feel any different from when I did eat. I do drink a pint of highly diluted apple juice immediately before heading out, which may supply some readily available sugars, but in fact has little effect on my hydration for a 5k run. Your hydration in the previous 24 hours probably has more impact.

This is highly personal and is a matter of experiment and preference.
