I started this plan on January 2nd and, despite a bad few week period where I didn’t run, I cannot believe I have just run for 30 minutes.
My FitBit says I ran for 4.5KM. I even had some energy to spare so I’m really, really hoping I can get to 5K in 30 minutes by the end of the programme.
I’ve browsed a few posts of people using the lockdown as a good time to start running - just do it. I’m 1 stone lighter and feel, mood wise, better than ever. Have faith in the programme and, more importantly, have faith in yourself.

You're right - a lot of people have used this strange and difficult time to start running. I think it's great that so many are taking control of their health and finding something that will not only help them positively through these coming weeks and months but hopefully will remain a change for life.
Of course we're very biased about the benefits of running here and constantly bore those around us, I'm sure...but you know what? We're right!😀😉
I actually completed the program four and a half years ago now (😮)but have maintained my running ever since (despite several injuries!) Running is such a great activity for both physical and mental wellbeing - I plan to run "forever"!😉
I have gone on to run further and enjoy taking part in events (when I'm not on the injury couch!) 10ks, 10 miles and one Half Marathon in the bag! I had hoped to run my second Half this spring but of course it was cancelled - so now just trying to stay fit and get through these strange times like everyone else! 🙏
