Sore and swollen ankle πŸ˜”

Completed W4R1 yesterday. Running for the last 5 minutes definitely pushed me but I was able to complete it. After the run my left ankle felt sore. I did lots of stretches. The sides of the ankle continued to feel sore and tender through the evening. Now it looks and feels swollen and tender. Any ideas? Advice?

My first question would be what are you wearing on your feet?

Are you wearing proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop?

If not, your shoes may not be giving you enough support to counter the impact stresses of running.

There is advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact as well as dealing with injury.

Take care.
