I finally made it to Week 9!!! Completed run 1 yesterday and decided it was time to treat myself to some proper running shoes. Don’t think I’ve ever spent that much on shoes, ever 😂 But it’s a good incentive to keep getting out there once the programme is finished....!

I’ve got the ghost 10 version & they are so comfy. Well worth the money & treating yourself

My running shoes were the most expensive shoes that I have ever bought, worth every pound.

I also have Brooks. They are great. Best money you can spend. I invest in my running shoes and buy cheap as chips for every thing else.

I’m on week 8 and just thinking about a gait analysis and proper shoes too. Glad to see it seems to be worth the money 👍 does anyone mind giving me an idea of what the cost is likely to be? Might lessen the shock when I go lol😆 thanks!

I was going to ask the same. Going for gait analysis today but no idea of the cost of the new shoes

I had a gait analysis done before buying these ones (Brooks Ghost 12). They were £120 (gulp) but are super comfy. I went to our local Runners Need; the shoes were anything from £60 something (in the sale) to about £150....

Well done you’re nearly there. I graduated yesterday and treated myself to some Ghost 11’s as an extra incentive to keep running. Can’t wait to try them out.

I’ve just come in from completing W9R2 and I’m happy to report the new shoes were fab! They feel quite heavy compared to my old, basic pair but were super comfy. So far, so worth the money 😊

They look lovely, what a great treat and well deserved for getting this far. Hopefully they will make your last few runs of C25K even better. Enjoy!

You’re tempting me now!!!
