Just about to start week 9 run 1 and it strikes me that I will be at 3.75 K at the very most! So if I’ve completed my 9 weeks but too slow to run 5 k.. do I qualify? Or should I keep on with week 9, increasing my speed until I finally ( hopefully)

Reach 5k?! I’m 60 and still 4 stones overweight, so I am slooooow!!

Congratulations on getting this far. It's about time. 30 minutes continuous running is the end target. Don't worry about distance, that will come as you keep on running after graduation.

You qualify, you have completed the course. I can run for 34 mins, which is about 4 k. I will do a park run tomorrow my 4th. I walk and run the last bit. But visualise the day I run the whole course. Keep running, keep improving. I ran over one of my old routes and remember how,5 mins was a great achievement. See where you have come from, and look where your going. Well done when you complete w9 r3, and your a graduate.

When you do your 3 x 30 minute tunes on week 9 you qualify - that’s what the plan is designed for. Most people don’t get to 5k, I know I’m nowhere near it! But I plan to use my consolidation runs to build up distance and speed. Good luck to you and congratulations on your graduation when you get there!👏👏

Nice to know most people are in the same position.. I thought I was going to be a bit of a fraud finishing if I hadn’t achieved 5k 🤗
