So for weeks I’ve been working towards a 5K with my mum and we finally ran in an event on Saturday.
We did it for charity so for ages we’ve been riding the buzz of doing something that will help someone else.
The big day came, we were so full of nerves, but we graduated the C25K programme in the best way possible and were on an incredible high.
I’m finding now, that it’s all over and done, that I’m experiencing a real down - I feel so deflated. All that buzz and hard work and now it’s finished.
Did anyone else find this? I think I just need to set my next goal and sign up for another event to keep the momentum going.

Quite common to feel deflated like this. You spent a lot of time building up to this event and looking forward to the run. Today you don't have that lovely bit of anticipation and that routine to run.
Simple soloution, really. Plane the next one and get a training schedule. There are loads of runs out there. try to beat your time on your next one. You could look for a longer one if you feel up to it. Make sure you allow plenty of time to build up the distance though.
