Week 9 Gremlins

Got out and ran my first run of week 9 today. Managed to complete the full 30 minutes but this is the first run that has hurt, not significantly, didn’t feel the need to stop, but was certainly aware of it. From about halfway through I started getting pain in the top of my knee caps, it felt the way I imagine shin splints feel, but definitely in my knee caps not my shins, my knee caps are unusually high in position. It seems a strange place to get pain and settled once I stopped running. Has anyone else experienced knee cap pain?

Yes had some knee pain a couple of months ago. I bought a foam roller and a knee support. The knee support was great, really worked well and prevented any further injury. Along with additional exercises and stretches and leg massages using the foam roller I was fine in a couple of weeks later. Thankfully I have not had any other niggles since.
