My aim is just to do one half hour jog a week, most weeks, when I get to the end of the C25K training programme. (This is cos I like to cycle and won’t fit 3 runs in a week in the longer term.)I’d be interested to know from more experienced people if this running is likely to feel tricky if only done about once a week?

I read an article that said running once a week will maintain your running legs nicely... and if you’re a keen cyclist then the aerobic fitness shouldn’t be a problem.
I am also a cyclist but since starting and graduating from C25K I don't cycle just as much as I used to, I believe my cycling helped me get through the program without repeating any runs or week's. You should run at least 3 times during the week for 9 weeks when you are doing C25K, you can still cycle a little on your non running days.
One 30 min run a week will give good health benefits along side your cycling. I will be the one who will mention the getting the running bug, which in all fairness not many of us ever expected to get 😂. Then if you want to run more than once a week you will find a way 😀. Once a week is good though. Rfc. X

I’ve had the same fear, Benttoe, so your post, and all the replies, is very encouraging. I’m just about to do W9 and fearing I won’t keep up the running after the programme finishes. If one run a week is sustainable without losing fitness, that sounds achievable. I do other activities as well - mostly walking but some badminton.
Running once a week on top of cycling doesn't sound like a lack of ambition to me!...fair warning though, you may find you're hooked at the end and struggle to only allow yourself to run once a week 😁
