So I planned to do run 2 yesterday but postponed it for today due to still aching a bit in my thighs (on reflection my jog during run 1 was a run and I’ve learned from this mistake). Run 2 completed today and it was still tough (I’ve not exercised properly for over 10 years lol) but it felt easier than the first run! More importantly I don’t feel any aches this time so I’m much happier yay

Way to go! Learning from reflection and modifying your technique is a great start. Good luck with the programme. 👍👏🏼

Stretching straight after every run, as described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... helps pull out muscle tension, avoiding carrying them into the next run and improves recovery.
Thanks I did stretch today after the 5 minute walk cool down and it seems to have helped... I have read conflicting information... some people state u can do damage if u stretch after running some people say always do it... I think I shall do the latter as it didn’t do any harm today
