When I started this 9 weeks ago and struggled through my first 60 second ‘run’, I genuinely wondered how on earth I would ever manage to run for 30 minutes. But here I am.... somehow!
I’d like to say a huge thank you for all the advice and tips I have read as I ‘lurked’ in the background. This is the most positive forum I have ever seen!
I’d also like to thank my running partner Henry, my bouncy Cockapoo, who made it look too easy! (Cheating with four legs though..)
To celebrate I’m going to run along my local beach, the West Sands in St Andrews.
It was in the opening scene of Chariots of Fire.
It just seems appropriate...
Again thanks everyone, and to anyone reading this who’s just starting - Trust the program. You Can Do This!

Enjoy your celebratory run, sounds like a beautiful location.
Hooray. Well done to you and your Cockapoo Henry! My Cockapoo Isla has not been so supportive a run buddy, much preferring to follow her own nose into the undergrowth in search of squirrels and deer!!
I know St Andrews and the beach you mention. Great place for a run! Enjoy 😊!
