Just finished W8R2 and activity tracker says heart rate was too high? Is it not normal for heart rate to elevate during a run?

Too high?
Fitness trackers are not very good at calculating max heart rate. Everybody is different so one size really doesn't suit all. Do you know what your max and resting rates are set at?
My resting heart rate is about 77bpm.
Just worked out according to my age by max heart rate during a run should be 175bpm.
I suppose everyone's body is different
The 220-age formula (if thats what you used) is often well off the mark. You know your max is at least 187 so I would set it at that for now. The MHR is literally as high as it can go so unless you were on a particularly steep hill I suspect yours is somewhere over 187.
They are out quite often. Some 10% or more, lots of GPs are have visits from the worried well.
Having said that maybe just slow your pace to bring it down a little, the most important thing is listen to you body.
