Help needed!

Two days ago somehow managed to injure my foot whilst forest walking on holiday. Assuming a bruised heel as can hardly walk on it. Nothing broken and no swelling or bruising. My question is how do I keep my fitness levels up? April was a month of consolidation runs and I was planning to start the 10K plan tomorrow. This isn’t going to happen ☹️ but can’t stand the thought of going backwards on my fitness and undoing all he hard work. Any suggestions out there on what I can do for the best? Am already getting fidgety 😬. Thanks everyone.

You might be able to cycle or swim for cardio fitness.

You may well be able to do general strengthening exercises without loading your foot.

Runners need a good strong core, so planks and bridges, again may be possible.

Take care.

Well, if you can't even walk on it, I'd suggest you get some ice on it and rest. Give it 3 to 5 days. If it still hurts after that get it checked out. You won't lose fitness in that time.

In general the swimming pool is the place to go when you're recovering from an injury, keeps you fit until you're ready for high impact again. Hope you're back out there soon.
