Calf pain

I'm back up to W4R2 after having to restart due to illness. I've been doing the full warm up and cool down walks and stretching after, but I'm still getting calf pains. It's been very painful toward the end of the W4 runs, and I'm worried that it's going to stop me running for longer. It's pretty uncomfortable on rest days too, my calves are aching now after running last night.

Anything I can do to help? Will it get less painful?

Have you got running shoes or trainers? I suffered a lot in the first few weeks as I adjusted to running, it eased considerable but then got an achiles injury. Before I picked it up again I got my gait analysed and bought proper running shoes. I've never looked back. No pain or twinges and I actually felt that running was a little easier in the correct footwear.

I've got running trainers, but they're pretty old and battered. Where did you get your gait analysed?
