Herniated Disc Question

Hi All

I did Couch to 5k 6 years ago and have been in the wars since.

In 2016 I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my back, which had fully intruded onto my sciatic nerve, causing a lot of pain and basically stopped me walking upright. An MRI scan showed that the 2 discs above the problem disc are also weak, so my question is: has anyone successfully completed the plan with a bad back / herniated disc?

Thankfully, I am not in constant pain today but I do have "episodes" when my back hurts and I get sciatic sensations in my leg and foot. If I try the plan again, I am worried I may hurt myself or aggravate the disc back - can anyone advise?

Thanks

Jo

We are not medical experts.. but someone may be able to give you their experiences. Have you taken advice on this from your consultant.?

It is important to get that advice before trying this.

We are all so different...That, even if someone has a similar issue..their experience may not be helpful to you.

This article may be helpful

.but nothing will be as useful as advice from your medical team.
